The first series is the Personal Papers Series containing personal travel notes a cartoon entitled 'The Ten Commandments of Helicopter Flying ' personal notes criticizing a previous Smithsonian exhibit personal notes about the donation of the collection to the History of Aviation Collection, Special Collections and Archives Division, Eugene McDermott Library, The University of Texas at Dallas and personal notes on his contacts developed during the campaign. The collection is housed in five manuscript boxes and two non-standard boxes, totaling 3.1 linear feet. The bulk of the collection was organized by Rabbitt into fifteen manila envelopes, excluding three exhibit scripts, three video cassettes, and a baseball cap. Rabbitt Collection on Enola Gay arrived in two accessions and is in good condition. Rabbitt to document his campaign against the 50th anniversary Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum (NASM) exhibit on the Enola Gay and the atomic bombings of World War II. The collection contains personal notes, correspondence, museum exhibit scripts, reports of Senate hearings, a government committee report, photographs, memorabilia, ephemera, video and audio tapes, newspaper and magazine articles, minutes, transcripts, and other materials that were created and/or collected by Frank K.
